October 6, 2013 AM Worship
Rain, rain go away … but the regular group of worshipers would not let near record-setting rainfall keep them away from worshiping the Lord.
The service started with Deacon Wally Jeffries reading Psalm 66:1-12 and saying a prayer. Guest Worship Leader, Eric Jimenez, grabbed his guitar and led the gathered in song.
- O For a Thousand Tongues To Sing (special arrangement)
- Holy is the Lord
Before the time of fellowship, Associate Pastor Chris Moss introduced Jimenez to everyone. Jimenez is a regular worship leader at Sojourn Community Church and a student at Southern Seminary. Associate Pastor to Students, Brandon Saunders, made a few announcements
- No Souper Sunday because of the weather
- Business Meeting next week
- Operation Christmas Child – November 13 is packing day; guest speaker
- Gathering items for Freedom Center Ministries in Lynch, KY
After a pastoral prayer, Philippians 2:5-11 was read by one of the Youth members, the Jimenez led more songs.
- Your Name
- Jesus Thank You
Deacon Gary Cook said a prayer, then the congregation was taught a new song, All I Have is Yours while the offering was collected.
Moss brought the next message in the Exodus sermon series. The full audio can be heard by clicking on the date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer. Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.
