November 27, 2016 Morning Worship
The leftover turkey is likely gone, the pies are certainly consumed, and many people are still traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Members and regular attendees of Vine Street Baptist Church who were still in town gathered to learn, worship and fellowship.
The service began when Deacon Donnie Aebersold read Isaiah 9:1-7 and saying a prayer. Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher, playing his guitar, encouraged everyone to stand while Jaime Hatcher led the singing.
- His Name is Wonderful
- Come Thou Fount
After a time of fellowship, Deacon Chandler Bainter guided everyone through a few announcements.
- Today starts the Advent Sermon Series
- Person of Jesus study continues tonight
- Advent reading and candle lighting – asking for participants
- Christmas Families
The worship time continued with singing after Jacob said a pastoral prayer and the offering was collected
- Wherever He Leads I’ll Go
- O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Mickie Bainter read today’s sermon text, then everyone listened to today’s sermon.
