August 20, 2017 Morning Worship
The Vine Street family saw many people traveling through Louisville for various reasons, as well as a number of new guests from the surrounding community. All were warmly welcomed.
The service began when Deacon Donnie Aebersold read Isaiah 2:1-5 and said a prayer. Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher encouraged everyone to stand and sing while Jaime Hatcher led the first song.

A few minutes was given so all could greet one another in fellowship. Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders gathered everyone back together for a few announcements, then said a pastoral prayer for various concerns in the community. While the offering was collected, Jaime started leading songs, and Jacob encouraged everyone to stand and sing partway through.

After the sermon, the congregation stood and sang We Will Feast in the House of Zion during a time of reflection. Spencer closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. Before he read a closing benediction passage, Spencer introduced Derek and Carmen Minton, who want to join the church through membership. Spencer read the benediction then dismissed the group.
